Impaired Driving Up in Grey County
Grey County |
Provincial Police say drinking and driving charges are up across Grey County.
Drinking and driving charges are up across Grey County.
OPP Inspector Michael Guilfoyle says it is startling since rates are down across Canada.
Guilfoyle says officers will be focusing more on stopping impaired drivers this year.
He says most of those charged with impaired driving in the county are in their 30s to 60s.
Guilfoyle says younger individuals were taught in the driving system and driving schools and are aware of the consequences of drinking and driving
He says it is a significant challenge for officers to educate the older generation about drinking and driving.
