The Salvation Army in Owen Sound is conducting a Thanksgiving Grocery Gift Card campaign this year rather than their traditional Food Drive.
The Campaign is requesting for supporters to purchase Gift Cards from grocery stores in Owen Sound + Foodland in Markdale.
Those Gift Certificates can be either left with the grocery store or dropped off at the Owen Sound Salvation Army location at 365 14th Street West in Owen Sound, where a tax receipt will be issued.
Alice Wannan, the Family Services Coordinator for the local Salvation Army, joined The Great Paul Hill on the 560 CFOS Morning Show to talk about the campaign and the support they’ve received from other initiatives including the Denis Bester Memorial Shootout.
