Blue Dolphin Pool in Meaford will be getting some upgrades after receiving $10,000.
The Community Investment Program through Hydro One provided this funding that will go towards replacing the removable “easy-stairs” in the shallow end, which allows for accessible and easy access to the pool.
In addition to upgrading the equipment at the facility, Meaford Council also approved the replacement of the two lifeguard chairs that overlook the pool.
Emma Smith, Recreation Services Coordinator with the Municipality of Meaford said these upgrades will help them improve accessibility and safety at one of Meaford’s favorite summer hangouts. “It’s an investment in keeping youth and families active in our community.”
The upgrades are expected to be completed by the time the facility opens for the season on May 31, barring any further shutdown measures that extend past then.
