An Owen Sound resident is celebrating after winning $500,000 from the June 22 Lotto Max draw.
Winner James Mcinnes shared the $1 million prize with another winning ticket.
The 60-year-old says he plays the lottery on occasion when the Jackpot is high.
“I scanned my ticket using the OLG Lottery App and said, Yes! when I saw Big Winner,” says Mcinnes.
While Mcinnes does not have any major plans right now for his winnings, he does aim to save some for his retirement and is considering getting a new truck.
“It’s a relief knowing I don’t have to worry about anything anymore,” adds Mcinnes.
The winning ticket was bought at the Circle K on 9th Avenue East in Owen Sound.
