Public Health Grey Bruce is reporting one new case of COVID-19 in the region Tuesday.
(Testing and case counts reported as of 23:59 hrs, August 9)
According to the health unit, a resident of the Town of The Blue Mountains tested positive.
With six more resolved cases, there are 47 active known cases in the region with 105 active high risk contacts.
Five local people are hospitalized in Grey Bruce and one is receiving care outside the region.
Over the course of the pandemic, there have been 19 deaths associated with the virus in the region.
Kelso Villa Retirement Home in Owen Sound has outbreak status after six people tested positive. The health unit says all were fully vaccinated and have mild symptoms.
Public Health says 2, 350 COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the past seven days.
A total of 218,227 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Grey and Bruce to date.
There is a drop-in vaccine clinic today at the Dundalk Arena Parking Lot at 550 Main St. E 4pm-7pm.
