A show of solidarity for Ukraine was held in Meaford with the local water tower lighting up blue and yellow.
In a Tweet published by the municipality on March 1 at 7:35 p.m., Meaford says they embrace any Ukrainian-Canadians living in the community and their cultural traditions.
Mayor Barb Clumpus says they are not aware of any gathering that took place but they offer their heartfelt sympathies for Ukrainian people during this time.

A Ukrainian flag has been raised outside of the Town of Hanover Civic Centre as a sign of solidarity, according to Town of Hanover Administrative Assistant and Deputy-Clerk Vicki McDonald.
