The Roxy Theatre is unveiling its 62nd seasonal lineup for upcoming shows.
The Owen Sound Little Theatre (OSLT) says for the 2022 to 2023 season, it will feature familiar favourites and locally written shows.
From Nov. 10 to the 12, 17 to the 19, 23 to the 26 at 7:30 p.m., and Nov. 12 and 19 at 2 p.m., the theatre will feature Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, directed by Lacey Mooney.
From Feb. 23 to the 25 and March 1 to the 4, 2023 at 7:30 p.m., the theatre will show You, Me and a Bit of Driftwood. The show will be directed by Kevin Haxell and is written by local OSLT member Samantha Colwell-Castles. This comedic drama is about a couple navigating their relationship and family dynamics, all while reflecting the experiences lived during the pandemic.
From April 6 to the 8 and 13 to the 15, 2023 at 7:30 p.m., the theatre will put on The Game’s Afoot, directed by John Flynn. This comedy centres around when one of the guests of acclaimed actor William Gillette’s Christmas Eve celebration is murdered, and Gillette takes on the persona of Sherlock Holmes to track down the killer.
From June 15 to the 17 and from the 21 to the 25, 2023 at 7:30 p.m., the Roxy will feature Gorgeous, Gallivanting Goddesses. Directed by Bill Murphy and written by local OSLT member Sheilah Spurr, this comedy follows four female friends who have gone on a wilderness canoe trip in northern Ontario. The trip removes them from modern amenities and offers a thought-provoking journey into themselves and their relationships.
Tickets for the season are now available, along with flex passes. The passes act as a season’s subscription, and for a reduced price, patrons can get four passes to be used in any combination of the four productions this season.
