Canada’s largest Poutine Festival is in Wiarton this weekend.
Poutine Feast is running from September 1st to the 4th at Bluewater Park daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
On its website, Poutine Feast says it is a, “Collection of award-winning food professionals specializing in the greatest food ever invented in Canada.”
It’s an event that has been touring around the province this summer.
It boasts over 50 variations of poutine with options for everyone from those who eat a gluten-free diet to vegans to meat lovers. The event’s website says there are also gourmet selections including poutine with slow roasted pork and even lobster.
They say it’s a family friendly atmosphere and there is also live music and entertainment.
Meanwhile, the business community in Wiarton is also holding a ‘Gravy On Top’ sale and promotional event Saturday.
