The 34th annual Owen Sound Salmon Spectacular has come to a close.
The event brought in thousands of anglers from Aug. 26 to Sept. 4.
The results from the Owen Sound Salmon Spectacular Bumstead Insurance, Financial, and Employee Benefits Leaderboard show:
John Earnest of Owen Sound reeled in the winning salmon at 25.495 pounds.
Julie Ellis of Dundalk topped the Lake Trout division at 24.44 pounds.
Murray Garniss of Georgian Bluffs came on top of the Rainbow Trout division at 12.28 pounds.
The top Brown Trout belonged to Jon Fowles of Moorfield at 16.32 pounds.
Derby co-chair Chris Geberdt says the winner of the boat draw was Susan Warmington of Ancaster.
Geberdt says this year’s event went beyond expectations.
“It was a fantastic derby, one of the best,” says Geberdt.
