On Saturday ( September 17th ) the Roselawn Bowling Club received $ 75,000 in grant funding through the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s Resilient Communities Fund.
The Resilient Communities fund supports the recovery efforts of organizations impacted by COVID-19 and helps them respond with immediate, medium, and longer-term recovery projects.
Roselawn Bowling Club Board member Jon Farmer states the funding will allow the club to make substantial upgrades and improvements to the clubhouse including installing a heat pump and air filters, and renovating the kitchen and bathroom at the north end of the building.
Farmer notes some of the work has already taken place and the larger renovations will be completed before the Spring.
The renovations and upgrades will be welcome by the lawn bowling club but will also serve as an excellent community space for a variety of activities.
The Roselawn club first opened in 1920.
