The City of Owen Sound is reminding residents and visitors there no longer overnight on-street parking permitted until the end of March.
The city says as of Dec. 1, there will be no overnight parking between the hours of 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. until March 31.
Overnight parking will be allowed in municipal lots five and nine if an overnight parking permit is displayed. Permits can be purchased at City Hall or at the Transit Terminal.
During the winter months, the city says the dedicated bike lanes on 8th Street between 5th Avenue East and 7th Avenue East are likely to be filled with overflow snow from winter operations and may be unsafe to use.
The city is also asking residents to be good neighbours when removing snow and clear the snow from their properties to the right side of their driveway, from the perspective of looking towards the road.
The city says this will reduce the amount of snow pushed back into their driveway when the road is plowed.
