Home & Community Support Services Grey-Bruce and the Roxy Theatre have teamed up to help spread Christmas cheer to local seniors and people living with disabilities.
The two organizations are looking for donations toward their Cozy Christmas Theatre Experience.
With a $30 donation to HCSS Grey-Bruce, they’ll provide a local senior with the ability to stream the Roxy Theatre’s upcoming film adaptation of Norm Foster’s The Christmas Tree, along with a fleece blanket, popcorn, hot cocoa, and a candy cane.
Half of the donation will go toward funding the theatrical experiences while the rest will go toward supporting HCSS’s mission to support those living with disabilities, and seniors aging in place.
Home & Community Support Services Grey-Bruce provides services such as Transportation, Hot & Frozen Meals on Wheels, Friendly Visiting, Day Away & Overnight Respite, and Housekeeping.
Donations for the project first started getting accepted in mid-November and so far the organization is approximately halfway to its goal of funding 300 client experiences.
