A portion of the Bruce County Brant Tract will be closed starting in early March.
The closure is to accommodate forest harvesting operations.
The portion of Brant Tract, located at Concession 15, between Concession 14 and the Brant-Elderslie Townline, will be closed until the end of June 2023.
Timber sales and sustainable harvesting are part of the county’s normal business practices.
They also say that active forest management helps maintain a healthy forest environment.
Hiking and biking trails will remain open.
The section of the Bruce County Rail Trail that is adjacent to this property’s western boundary will not be affected and will remain open.
