A Clarksburg resident is $67,800 richer after playing Lotto Max.
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation says Peter Potts, a 68-year-old father, is putting his winnings towards his dreams after the Aug. 8 draw.
Potts is a weekly lottery player and says he is a regular player of Lotto Max, Lotto 6/49 and Daily Grand.
“I’ve been going to the convenience store to buy my tickets for quite some time,” says Potts.
He says when he checked his ticket when he won, he was in disbelief and shared the news with his partner.
“It was surreal,” says Potts. “We usually call each other in the morning, but this time, I said, ‘I’m good – really good!’ She was overjoyed and couldn’t wait to see me.”
He plans to use his winnings to travel.
“I used to fly fish in the Bahamas, and I would love to go again,” says Potts. “Winning is an awesome feeling and I look forward to celebrating!”
The winning ticket was purchased at the Thornbury Express Mart on Arthur Street in Thornbury.
