Georgian Bluffs is looking to hear from its residents as it updates its official plan.
The official plan acts as a roadmap for the municipality, guiding growth, development and land use in the community for over the next 25 years.
The municipality says the current plan, which has been in effect since 2014, outlines the goals, objectives and policies for development and land use within Georgian Bluffs. The update to the plan aims to make the official plan align with the changing vision, goals and objectives of the community, and include any needed changes.
To assist in this process, the municipality will be holding an open house on Sept. 21 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Shallow Lake Community Centre.
“This Open House provides an informal opportunity for residents, businesses, and stakeholders to take part in the Official Plan update,” says the municipality.
The open house will include topics like housing, economic development, settlement areas, climate change, and community improvement planning.
