Habitat for Humanity Grey Bruce is launching a new campaign called ‘Building for Impact.’
Habitat Partnerships Manager Lisa Campbell says, “Affordable home ownership has become increasingly more challenging for Canadian families.”
She says the organization is looking for help to serve local families in need, noting, “We can’t build without your support. We need to raise $1.3 million.”
She says the Building for Impact campaign will help them build two houses in Hanover and there are also plans to build seven Habitat houses in Owen Sound.
“100 per cent of all donations go directly towards building new, affordable homes in our community,” says Campbell, noting the Habitat Restore covers all of their administrative overhead costs. There are three Restores locally, one in Owen Sound (Springmount), one in Hanover and one in Port Elgin.
Campbell says, “There’s many ways for folks to make a difference. They could become a monthly help builder where they donate to habitat monthly or they could do our planned giving option where they give a legacy of hope, partnering with Habitat, we have lots of opportunities and options for companies to align their brand with Habitat for Humanity Grey Bruce and build affordable housing locally.”
