Today marks the kickoff of construction on Grey County’s redevelopment of Rockwood Terrace Long-term Care Home in Durham.
It will be a new 128-bed, state of the art long-term care home.
The roughly $91 million build is the largest capital construction project in Grey County’s history.
The redevelopment will upgrade the beds to ‘Class A,’ which has been mandated by the provincial government.
A celebration ceremony is set to be held at the Durham Curling Club at 9:30 Friday morning.
