A 38-year-old Brockton man faces several charges after two smash and grabs in Hanover.
The break-ins happened overnight March 19th into 20th when police say a lone man smashed his way into the businesses through the front doors and stole items. He left before officers arrived.
Police Chief Chris Knoll says he’s now charged with two counts of break & enter, possession of stolen property and breach of probation. Some of the stolen property was also recovered.
Knoll says he was held for bail and remanded into custody. He notes, the suspect was on his way to jail within 12 hours of the second break-in.
Meanwhile Knoll is reminding businesses to ensure alarms are in working order and activated before leaving for the day and that surveillance equipment is operating properly.
