As of 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, there’s a tornado watch in place for Grey Bruce and a severe thunderstorm warning for southern Bruce County and the Bruce Peninsula.
There’s a tornado watch in place for Grey Bruce and a severe thunderstorm warning for Southern Bruce County and Southern Grey County.
Environment Canada has removed the severe thunderstorm for the Bruce Peninsula.
The weather agency is tracking a line of storms which at 5:15, was located from 9 kilometres northwest of Chesley to 8 kilometres east of Point Farms Provincial Park, moving east at 80 km/h.
There could be 90 km/h wind gusts.
Meanwhile, the tornado watch was issued at about noon Wednesday for Grey Bruce, with Environment Canada saying conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms which may produce tornadoes. Strong winds and large hail are also possible this afternoon and evening.
