The newly constructed Tot Lot playground at Harrison Park in Owen Sound has opened.
City officials note the new playground — located near the Harrison Park Inn — features accessible amenities, offering a safe and inclusive outdoor recreation space for young children.
It is designed for kids ages 18 months to five years.
According to a city release, the new playground provides for a more modern feel and includes climbers, slides and spinners that support physical activity, intellectual development, social interaction and emotional wellness.
The project budget was $100,000.
The anticipated life expectancy of the new playground is about 25 years.
