Some heavy snow is expected to fall in Grey Bruce over the next few days.
Environment Canada has issued a squall warning for Owen Sound, Blue Mountains, Northern Grey County, Saugeen Shores, Kincardine, Southern Bruce County, Sauble Beach and the Bruce Peninsula.
Forecasters say a prolonged period of “significant lake effect snow squalls” will continue through this weekend.
Environment Canada says snowfall amounts could total between 50cm and 80cm by late Sunday.
The most intense squalls are expected today, tonight and Saturday night into Sunday morning.
“Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Road closures are likely. If you must travel, keep others informed of your schedule and destination and carry an emergency kit and mobile phone,” Environment Canada says in its advisory.
