The Owen Sound Attack capped a magical weekend in the Scenic City with a win over the Ontario Hockey League’s top team.
Colby Barlow scored his team-leading 33rd goal of the season and Corbin Votary made 32 saves, as the Attack cruised past the Ottawa 67’s 4-1 at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre Sunday afternoon.
It was the Attack’s second straight win on home ice over the weekend, and came as the city started to settle after the buzz from the magic of Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada on Saturday.
Kaleb Lawrence, Cedrick Guindon and Gavin Bryant also scored for the Attack (23-15-4-1), who moved past idle Saginaw for third in the OHL’s western conference.
Henry Mews scored Ottawa’s lone goal. The 67’s (31-9-1-1) dropped their second straight.
Votary made 32 saves in the win, while Max Donoso stopped 15 taking the loss.
The 67’s outshot the Attack 33-19 while going 1 for 2 on the power play; Owen Sound finished 1 for 3.
Next game for the Attack is Friday on the road at Guelph.
