Dundalk Fire Chief Derek Malynyk says a home is a total loss following a fire along Ridley Crescent.
Malynyk says they responded to the blaze on Jan. 22 at 1:54 a.m. and when they arrived on scene, the basement and main floor of the home were fully involved.
While deemed a total loss, there were no injuries reported as no one was home at the time.
Malynyk says the cause of the fire is still under investigation and is not deemed suspicious.
Malynyk estimates the damages around $900,000.
He adds Dundalk fire had 19 firefighters and four trucks on the scene as well as assistance from Shelburne fire battling the blaze until it was declared under control at around 10:30 a.m.
