Northern Bruce Peninsula council has received a drinking water inspection report for Lion’s Head, ensuring it is following ministry legislation.
During a meeting on Feb. 13, council received a report from Public Works Manager Troy Cameron. It recommended after reviewing the report, having staff make it available for viewing on the Municipal website.
The report says an inspection of the Lion’s Head Drinking Water System was carried out between Nov. 2, 2022 and Jan. 4, 2023 by Water Inspectors from the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks Shayne Finley and John Ritchie.
The report found the drinking water system continues to disinfect and distribute water, all equipment was installed in accordance to their permit, and operators are continuously monitoring and examining water test results.
This yearly inspection of the drinking water system is conducted to evaluate compliance with the ministry’s drinking waste policies, procedures, and guidelines during the inspection period.
