The iconic Collingwood Grain Terminals building will be turned into a hotel, condos, restaurants and event spaces under a plan unveiled last night to town council.
The design was created by Streetcar Developments , a firm hired by the town to revitalize the site.
The $200 million dollar plan would see the terminal building turned into a ten floor hotel. There would be commercial space on the ground floor and a 24 story condo tower would be added to the site.
The plans are preliminary, and need to go through various consultations and approvals.
The next step is for the town and the developer to sign a memorandum of understanding for the project.
