Seasons Owen Sound has raised just over $2,000 for Second Chance Animal Sanctuary.
General Manager Polly Kirstine says the event on Aug. 19 had quite the turnout.
“It was for International Homeless Animal Day, we decided we needed to do something for the community and there are so many dogs out there that need a home and they are looking after so many dogs and trying to get them adopted and as a group team we decided that is where we wanted to focus and so we had a garage sale with hotdogs and a Pie-The-Manager contest,” says Kirstine.
She says the proceeds from the event went to the Second Change Animal Sanctuary to assist with animal needs.
“Seasons Owen Sound is thankful to all who donated and super excited about how many animals this money will help,” says Kirstine. “We felt the need to show support for Second Chance Animal Sanctuary and showing everybody that Seasons is pet friendly.”
The event also marks the start of a new annual tradition for Seasons, who will continue to collaborate with the sanctuary.
