The Owen Sound Attack is excited to announce that during the second half of the 2023-24 season, they will be wearing a commemorative third jersey that will honour the 100th anniversary of 1924 Owen Sound Greys capturing the Memorial Cup.
The jersey was designed to be a close replica to the jerseys the team wore in 1924 and features an Owen Sound Greys crest on the front, shoulder crests with the names of the team members on them and the words 1924 Memorial Cup Champion Owen Sound Greys inside the collar.
“CCM did an exceptional job of taking our vision and recreating it”, said Greg Hoddinott, Manager, Marketing & Communications. “Recreating something from 100 years ago was a tough job, especially considering we were working primarily with black and white photo’s, but we feel we were able to recreate a close replica to what was worn at the time and will honour this great team in their anniversary year.”
The Attack will wear the 100th Anniversary commemorative jerseys a total of nine time, starting with Saturday, January 6 against the Guelph Storm. They will be worn a total of three time in January , February and March respectively.
