A parade of emergency vehicles with their lights on and horns honking made a tour through Owen Sound Thursday to show appreciation for the work being done by community partners during the pandemic.
Public Health, in partnership with Owen Sound Police, and Owen Sound Fire and Emergency Services, the Inter Township Fire Department and Grey County EMS set out from the health unit at 10 in the morning, and passed in front of many workplaces in Owen Sound, including the Canadian Mental Health Association, OSHARE, Keystone Child and Family Services, the Owen Sound Hospital, the United Way and others.
Public Health Manager Ian Reich, planned the event and says, the parade was to “Show appreciation to these services for the tremendous work they are doing under the pressure of COVID-19.”
