A large cargo ship is docked in Owen Sound.
The MV Oakglen (merchant vessel) docked on the east side of Owen Sound harbour around 11 a.m. this morning from Port Colborne, according to a marine traffic website.
The 222 meter gearless bulk carrier was built in 1980.
In general a gearless bulk carrier does not have its own cargo crane and requires the equipment at the port to unload.
Its home port is Montreal and currently operates in the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Seaway.
Bayshore Broadcasting has reached out to CSL Ships about how long the ship will be docked in Owen Sound.
