The Owen Sound Attack playoff push continues tonight with a home game against the Niagara Ice Dogs.
It’s the second and final meeting between the Attack (20-30-4-3) and Ice Dogs (27-22-3-4) this season. Owen Sound won the first 6-4 at the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines back on Oct. 11, 2024.
Tonight’s game was originally scheduled for Jan. 4, 2025, but was postponed due to weather conditions.
“Ticket holders are reminded that if they purchased tickets previously for the originally scheduled January 4th game that they should use those tickets for Wednesday’s game. Also, to avoid any issues at the entrance gates we encourage season ticket members who may have taken advantage of the rain check program or shared their tickets for the game when it was originally scheduled for January 4th to check their ticket accounts to ensure they have tickets in their account for the rescheduled game,” a statement on the Attack website explains.
Niagara arrives in the Scenic City on a 10-game losing streak. While the Attack are coming off a dramatic, 4-3 comeback win over the Soo Greyhounds in overtime Sunday.
Owen Sound currently sits ninth in the Ontario Hockey League’s Western Conference, two points back of both the Sarnia Sting (19-26-4-7) and Soo Greyhounds (23-32-2-1). Sarnia has one game in-hand on Owen Sound, and the Attack have one in-hand on Soo.
