Saugeen Shores police say a Port Elgin man faces charges in connection to a robbery.
They say back on February 28th, officers on patrol spotted a man who was wanted on a warrant for robbery.
They say he tried to resist, but was eventually arrested
Police searched the man and say they found a large quantity of cash and suspected cocaine, drug paraphernalia and a prohibited weapon in his waist band.
The 38 year old faces a number of charges:
Robbery
– Resist Peace Officer
– Failure to Comply with Release Order
– Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance
– Possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes
– Possession of a prohibited device
– Failure to Comply with Probation Order
He was held for a Bail Hearing and remanded into custody.
