The OPP is now overseeing the investigation into the disappearance of a man from the Southampton area nearly two months ago.
Provincial Police say in a release they are assisting Saugeen Shores Police in locating 32-year-old Brendan Martin, who was reported missing Jan. 20. The OPP say foul play cannot be ruled out his in disappearance.
Investigators have now released new photos in hopes they can help locate him.
Police say some of Martin’s personal items, including a guitar and a backpack, went missing with him. The OPP are urging people to check their properties and sheds for any signs of him or his belongings.
“He was last seen in Southampton wearing a black/navy winter coat and tan-coloured work boots,” a statement from the OPP says.
While Martin was reported missing from the Southampton area, he also has ties to Owen Sound, Barrie and Saugeen First Nation.
Anyone who has any information that could assist is asked to contact the OPP, Saugeen Shores Police or Crime Stoppers.
