A meeting about planned work on High Street is set for Thursday evening in Southampton.
It’s what the Town calls a ‘public information centre’ and is meant to be an opportunity for residents and local businesses to review project plans.
It will deal with construction, parking, traffic and the project schedule for phase one of the project which is from Victoria Street to Grosvenor Street.
The meeting is planned for April 10th from 5:30 to 6 p.m. at the Southampton Town Hall.

The Town says it has taken steps to minimize disruption and inconvenience, one of which is to do ‘sewer lining’ instead of replacement. They say on their website it is less invasive than replacement and has the same lifespan as a new sewer system.
That’s underway in April.
The plan has evolved with public input over time, especially where parking is concerned. Initially it was going to lose 65 parking spaces and now it will only lose four. It will have a 30km/h speed limit, some new four-way stops and
